I am trying to download Remote desktop 3.2 on Os x 10.8.3

I have tried repeatedly to install Remote desktop onto my mac and keep getting the error message that a newer version is already installed. Which it isn't. Any ideas?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

Try this:

• Insert your ARD CD

• Open in Finder

• Right click on the Remote Desktop.mpkg and show contents

• Navigate to contents/installers

• Drag the RemoteDesktopAdmin.pkg file onto the workstation and install

• Run Software Update

• Upgrade to the latest version of the admin application

You may need to completely uninstall ARD and then reinstall it before this procedure will work. Follow these instructions for the uninstall:

I tried what you suggested above using ARD 3.2 on my Mac 10.8.5.

As I was going through the terminal command suggested in your link, they all went through fine except for...

rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Remote\ Desktop/

When I tried to run that, I got a message saying that it didn't exist.

I continued through your instructions though. When I went to show contents and followed the path, the closest file I could find to what you had said was RemoteDesktoAdmin320.pkg. So I drug that to my desktop and tried to run it. When I did, at the Destination Select prompt I got an error "SU_TOTLE can't be installed on this disk NOARDTOUPDATE.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Bill
