connecting USB printer to existing WiFi network

I have a USB printer that I would like to connect to my existing WiFi network (Verizon Fios)

The printer is too far away to connect to the WiFi router's USB port, so I am wondering if there is a way to use a WiFi adapter to get that printer on the WiFi network?

OSX 10.6.8

Mac Book Pro 17"

iPad 3rd gen.

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

An airport extreme or airport express could connect to your existing WIFI and allow you to connect the printer to the USB port. It works well. The limits are the range of your exisint WIFI router however.
