My son plays a game on my wifes IPAD that involves a lot of screen tapping and she is afraid he is gong to break the IPAD. Is this a concern?

We gave my seven year old our first gen iPad and he has never had an issue. I just make sure he has rules to ensure he doesnt leave it on the floor or where someone might sit on it by accident. Tapping the screen is a non-issue.

I let my cats play with my iPad! No scratches or cracks! The screens are very resistent to damage.

Unless he is tapping the screen with a hammer, no. The screen is basically a sheet of glass, and tapping it with a finger is not going to do any damage, physically or electronically.
