Messages not appearing

My cousin and I constantly text back and forth. But latly they say that they aren't getting the texts, even though the messages appear in her message stream. Are our devices not communicating like they should (my ipod touch 4, and their iphone 5), or is there some other problem?

I alredy made sure that I set up Messages correctly.And my Ipod is up to date. I assume their's is too.

This is getting annoying. And if you can help, thank you.

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3, ipod touch 4, and iphone 5, ios 6.1

Can they Message you?

Can you Message other devioces?

Did it work before?

Are you both using the same ID?

Yes very well.

And, no. Their's is a phone number that's linked to their iPhone.

Yes, it worked, but they were connected to the same network.

My home network shouldn't be the problem, we have texted ALOT before this!

The problem started a week ago, cleared up over the weekend (when we tested), worked for a little bit, then stopped working last night!

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
