Clip Media File Currently Unavailable

I am trying to import a video in mp4 format to iMovie.

I imported the clip to an event in iMovie. The audio is there but a yellow exclamation point appears in the clip. Hovering over it says, "this clip's media file is not currently available."

Any idea how to make it available?
