how to set up find my phone on two different accounts

I need to be able to let my wife find her iphone using my iphone or our ipad. My phone and the ipad both share my apple and icloud id.

Her phone is on a different account (with a good grandfathered at&t data plan). She had her at&t plan before we got married.

The ipad is on a separate at&t grandfathered data plan set up when apple introduced the first iPad. It was set up before my wife and I got married.

My at&t data plan for my iPhone is limited. However I have an unlimited data plan on another iPhone on my account which I gave to my son several years ago. I promised him that he could keep that phone number because it also has a grandfathered data plan.

My problem. I need to know how to set up my wifes' iPhone and ICloud account so that we can find each others' iPhones.

I usually always have mine in my front shirt pocket.

My wife is not in the habit of carrying her phone in a pocket and sometimes changes her purse and may leave her phone in her desk at work or at home.

She can use my FindiPhone program to find the iPad and use my iPhone to call her misplaced iPhone.

I need a solution for her to be able to locate her iPhone when it is at work or our other property.

Any solutions?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

Find My iPhone is tied to the iCloud ID being used on the device and has nothing to do with the carrier plan it is using. You can use Find My iPhone to locate a device by signing into the iCloud account being used on the device you are trying to locate. You can do this either on icloud.com from any computer (see ), or by using the free Find My iPhone app on any of your iOS devices.

You can also call her misplaced phone at any time by just dialing the number, which does not require Find My iPhone.

Thanks for the reply randers4. I did learn ((just prior to receiving your reply) that I could indeed sign into the iCloud account belonging to my wifes' iPhone.

I finally found the ICloud password that I had made for her in my LastPass Vault and was able to find her already found iPhone.

She keeps her user names and passwords in a little spiral notebook (which needs a gps locator itself) :-)

I just wanted to be able to change her ICloud username and password on her iPhone so that she could see all three devices and their locations by loading the Find My iPhone app on the iPad.

I am going to try the app Find Friends to see if that will work better for her.
