Like other poster, I want to use deactivated iPhone 4 (VERIZON--has no sim card) as if it was an iPod Touch.
How do I set this up in the settings or what else do I have to do to prepare it for use and use it?

Eric: I appreciate your replying but if you read the article you linked to, it specifically talks about iPhones WITH sim cards only. Here's the first line:
Insert the SIM card from your new, activated iPhone or one that was previously used to activate the original iPhone.
Just to be clear, the Verizon iPhone 4 does not HAVE a sim card.
Maybe I should have stated that the Insert SIM card you can skip , just follow the other steps.
But what if it's a Verizon Wireless iPhone 4 with NO sim card
