Using FaceTIme over WIFI on Ipad Mini

I've configured my CenturyLink ActionTec Q1000 DSL model with Port Forwarding per this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4245

When I enter FaceTIme on the IPad I can call my IPhone and it rings once, then hangs up. Likewise, when I use FaceTime on my IPHone to call my email on the Iphone I get a BUsy signal.

BTW, the internet works fine on the Mini.

Any ideas? I tried CenturyLink DSL Tech Support, but they said configuring Port Forwarding is an Advanced Feature and they don't offer any suggestions.

Thanks,

Joe

According to this from Qwest you need to put in a LAN IP of 0.0.0.0 to forward to any local address. It should be similar if not the same for your CenturyLink device.

From your chart above it appears your trying to use 192.168.0.1 which I believe from the referenced manual is the LAN IP of the router itself.

In general you really should not need to forward any ports through your router. Have you tried calling the iPhone if its off your local network, ie. at friends house or local wireless hotspot, from your iPad or vice versa?
