May 16, 2013 12:05 AM in response to ellbowby That_Guy263,After updating, my headphones started to not work, lots of crackling, volume controls on headset don't work. I thought it was a hardware issue at first, took it to apple because still under warranty, they replaced. Took it home, working fine, so I update. Now it's not working again. Even done several restores, set up as new phone, restored from backup, tried everything, just dead headphone jack basically till next update.... I hope....

May 18, 2013 12:09 PM in response to ellbowby JeanGenie13,This is really ridiculous now - every day this week my wifi drops three or four times. Everytime I have to switch on airplane mode and switch off again to regain access to my wifi. All this has happened since updating to 6.1.4.

May 18, 2013 8:36 PM in response to JeanGenie13by spacegoogie,I would have to agree with you about the Wi-Fi issues, wifi is in and out. I've even had to move my router to a different spot.

May 20, 2013 5:14 AM in response to ellbowby Renatecu,After uploading my camera stop functioning. It worked completely fine right before, but now, the camera lense won't open, and all my apps where you use camera won't work. There is also a lot of lagging, and even though we just got a new router with very fast wi-fi, my cellphone is really slow (online)
My battery actually got better since the update, on iOS 6.1.3 it was draining 1% every 2-3 min and would be empty at around 6pm, now it is around 30%at 11pm:)

May 21, 2013 1:33 AM in response to ellbowby MrRJ,Before I start, I want to point out, I'm not a fanboy of any kind. I buy a phone to suit my needs rather than by way of loyalty or allegiance to a company. In fact, the phrase 'fanboy' actually irks me a little bit. I digress.
My battery is quite disappointing. 6.1 has been best for me. 6.1.1 was worse. 6.1.2 was worse still and it's been even more downhill since. I tried everything i found posted around on 'tinternet. Whilst polite and friendly, the staff in the Apple stores weren't helpful in resolving the issue. 4 iPhone 5's of varying capacity/colour have all been the same for me.
It's really quite ridiculous that every update of iOS6 has been plagued with some sort of issue and in the 8months (9 maybe?) since it's release, the worlds leading computer/smartphone manufacturer and all of it's experts haven't been able to resolve them. What's more annoying is that I'm unable to downgrade and install a version of iOS6 that had fewer problems for me, simply because it's open to exploit.
My battery life too, has been less than adequate. Certainly not anywhere near the stated timeframe per charge, even when running stock with no additional apps. Surely this breaches the Sale of Supply of Goods Act (UK) and maybe a similar act elsewhere. Again, I digress.
These forums are surely monitored by some degree by representatives from Apple. There is little hope for an update before iOS7, I am sure. If it's a 'miss' like the latest iteration of iOS has been, my time with the iPhone will again be over - I'd actually like to stay with this phone, so hopefully it will be decent... At the moment, I regret leaving behind my old phone (BB) in hope of a better experience. The new BB10 devices look to have few complaints and that's the way I will be going if Apple can't improve. If more consumers showed thier distaste with unsatisfactory performace by way of moving to something that is more relaible, it might encourage more competition and more work to be done on Apple's part to improve the iPhone and it's software!

May 22, 2013 12:57 PM in response to ellbowby Stefaan Van Hoeck,After update to 6.1.4 lot of apps crashed from time to time.
Safari, Mail, Google, Weather apps, a game RR3 and other apps.
It make no difference if there is 1 or more apps open.
Before I have no problems.
It happens sometimes that after a crash the iPhone shuts of and restart
1 time I was do nothing, iphone was in the case on my trouser belt, I feel the vibration and saw that he was shuts of and then restart.
I have buy the phone via the Apple Store in December 2012 (Belgium)
What I try to do:
- restored from backup > no result
- restored as new > no result
- buy a free app via iTunes so that the datebase is new > no result
- hard reset > no result
I don't now if ity is possible restore to 6.1.3

May 22, 2013 11:46 PM in response to Stefaan Van Hoeckby Stefaan Van Hoeck,There is something wrong with the iPhone.
This morning I open Safari nothing wrong. I will open Mail and it close immediately. I try it again same result. I saw that I have wifi, full signal sign.
When I look in the preferences I was not connected to my home wifi network. I saw the gray cirkel turning on and will not connect with my home network.
Wifi on en off don't helps.
My iMac have wireless connection. The wireless modem router is not the problem.
When I did a hard reset everything's works back, battery level was 3% higher.
With IOS 6.1.3 I have had now such problems.

May 28, 2013 6:03 AM in response to ellbowby JeanGenie13,I have a temporary solution which might not work for everyone - I hope it's temporary because I hope that with ios 7 or something we won't have these problems anymore. I really really didn't want to restore to factory settings!
So I realized that I never had problems at work, and at work we reboot the router every day. So I've started doing that at home too (hoping that I won't muck up my home wifi), and since then I've had (fingers crossed) no problems.
Like I said, it worked for me, but might not work for you.

May 29, 2013 4:18 PM in response to drewfer4uaby Lanieloo WHo,When I did the new update I noticed my volume down button did not work and my touch screen didn't work either. Then to add insult to injury my phone kept shutting on & off on its own, the date went to dec 31 2024 the time changed to 2am. Then the battery would say 100% then 5% and so on. It was a complete nightmare! I finally received a new phone but it says there is a new update, the same one that I believe screwed up my phone. I WILL NOT UPDATE! This is my 5th iPhone 5 the first one no one could hear me, I couldn't call out or even dial (lol dial) out. The second came broken, the third wouldn't pay my music or I couldn't call out. The 4th,well you know that story. I never had any issues with my iPhone 4S. This is apples last chance and my last iPhone if I have another issue... I'll get a droid!!!!

May 30, 2013 2:06 AM in response to Micheal Kellyby raisarola ,I agree with you. I got my new iphone 5 4 weeks ago and it updated the software after setting it up and it's been a trouble since. Every time I switch off wi-fi my 3G disappears and I have E only. I have to go to a different area to connect to another mast, reset my network and reboot. It works after that but is a real drag, to be honest. I don't even want to mention lack of support for exchange email and push problems if using idle imap. I really regret getting an iPhone so my advice is, if you want a properly working phone get yourself an android!u

Jun 5, 2013 12:23 AM in response to diegoquinterojby SuswaramSridhar,I also did with all the options. But, very unfortunate that, the speaker is not working after upgrading to 4.1.6. No sound at all. Expecting apple to fix this issue at the earliest.

Jun 10, 2013 6:44 PM in response to Joe Hartby Probilt,I had the same issue, just did a hard reset and back to normal. All sounds work and the battery problem is resolved.
