May 3, 2013 4:59 AM in response to McMartinPro2008by mende1,Sorry for not being able to do anything more for you, but I have told you the truth. If you want to repair it, do it, and if not, get another computer. Also, was your computer failing before the expiration date of the repair extension program?

May 3, 2013 5:13 AM in response to McMartinPro2008by mende1,You can consider yourself lucky, because logic boards are normally more expensive. As I told you, do whatever you want. Also, if you want to contact to Apple to complain, you can do it > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

May 12, 2013 2:09 PM in response to McMartinPro2008by Venus55,You may get lucky and manage to get an exception from Apple to have it repaired for free.
I escelated my problem speaking to a senior customer adviser who authorised the repair by an Apple approved reseller.
Good luck
