Which apps should I back up to iCloud?

I got a notice that I am close to my storage limit on iCloud so I an trying to clean my Storage & Backup folder out.

Are backing up apps like Pinterest, or shopping apps like Amazon or Ebay, necessary? What happens if I delete these from the Storage & Backup folder of iCloud?

Deleting them from the backup won't delete anything from your purchase history. You can always redownload your purchases using this one: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519

So keeping miscellaneous apps in my back-up folder (such as Pinterest, etc.) is really unnecessary?

it's really up-to-you, I'd only back up the ones I use most often(everyday)

Everything you've paid for can be redownloaded again anyway... 🙂
