export entire album?

export entire album?

Is there a way to export an entire album (or smart album) without actually going into it, selecting every single image then "Export versions..."?

When I click on an album in the left panel, the export versions becomes greyed out.

you can't select Export Versions while the focus is on the album but you could probably script it, but...

what's up? are you trying to save a couple of actions/clicks? (which incidentally I've also requested from the Aperture team on a few request forms 😉

Unsure whether Select All under the Edit menu is context sensitive to the Album or Project highlighted. Be nice if is is, but haven't checked.

Only other way I know how is to Click the first image, then scroll down and <Shift>Click the last image to select all images. Then RH mouse or <Ctrl>Click for the Export actions.

Yeah basically trying to save a couple of clicks. I click somewhere in the images, Cmd-A, then go to the menu.

It just seems silly to do that when I have already selected the album, why can't I just do an "Export versions..." with the album highlighted.

shrug Just a very minor usability feature I suppose, but it's nothing too dramatic.

If you have an Album selected, Tab will swap focus to the first thumbnail in the Album.

So it's Tab, Command-A, Command-Shift-E. No mouse movement required.
