Airport Express and Airport Extreme
Pardon my ignorance. Is the Airport express a much cheaper version of the airport extreme? If you already have a router what's the purpose of having an airporte express?

AirPlay streaming, for one. In addition to that the Express has all the usual features of a wireless router including most of the features of the more expensive Extreme. Other differences amount to the speed and number of available wired LAN ports and uses of its USB port.
