"Minecraft is damaged and can't be opened" error message.

Just got my new iMac and trying to load Minecraft but getting error message the minecraft is damage and should move to trash. I tried control-clicking in finder to bypass gatekeeper security but that does not work either. Any recommendations?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

1. Go into "System Preferences..." > "Security & Privacy" > "General"

2. Change the Gatekeeper option from whatever it was to "Allow applications downloaded from: Anywhere"

3. Launch Minecraft once.

4. Change the Gatekeeper settings back to whatever you want them to normally be set.

It's a problem with Java application stubs and Gatekeeper. Any other Java application you run may very well have the same problem.
