I use ipad mini. Since two months I have been facing connectivity issues with app store. App updates wont install at all. Even searching on app store has become very slow. My wifi works fine with my laptop. Please help!

I use ipad mini. Since two months I have been facing connectivity issues with app store. App updates wont install at all. Even searching on app store has become very slow. However, my wifi works fine with my laptop. How do I verify if there is some problem with my ipad hardware? How do I solve my current problem? Please help!
