I have a 2005 desktop. On the bottom of the support stand is an illustrated set of instructions to remove the grid panel located on the very bottom of the computer in order to insert a thin rectangular object. What is that object?? thanks

Q: what are the directions for?
If the Mac is an iMac, then that probably depicts how to install a RAM module.
If you have the User Manual for that machine, the instructions are in it, too.
