I still have my old Install DVD for iWork 06, and continue to use it, especially Pages and Numbers, with the reguar updates.
I have an iMac27, but want to also purchase a new Macbook Pro. Will I be able to install and use the older version of iWork, or will I have to buy it again?

iWork '06 does work on Macs running Moutain Lion or earlier, but you would need to update them to x.0.2 versions via Software Update.
But, I agree with fruhulda that the iWork '09 apps are much improve & you can buy just the apps you want from the Mac App Store.

I scanned it years ago & saved it as a .gif.
Ahh...that's how it's done.
But you are right too Peter. A felt pen works just fine! Clears off some of the white-out correcting fluid too. Now I need to get those crumpled backing sheets and messy carbon papers out of the little slot at the back of the top of my iMac! Anyone remember those?

Easy back-ups:
1. Make rubbings of your work on screen using carbon papers
2. Scan them into Preview, and reverse them to get black text on white background
3. Save as compressed tiff files
4. Import the scans back into Pages and save as archives
5. To secure your archives, see 1.
