Q: slow macbook air

My Macbook Air has become very slow upon loading a new page. The colored wheel is appearing more and more now. I have reset my PRAM(I think it was that?) by shutting dow, and then upon start up I pressed the command, option, P & R buttons until the 2 nd sound. This has not helped me. What options do I have that would help me?
