Q: VIDEO_INPUTFILE_READ_ERR

VIDEO_INPUTFILE_READ_ERR

When I go to burn my project on a DVD in Compressor 4

, I get the message "video file read error." I've read on other posts about re-encoding my media and doing it over again, blah blah blah. I did all that and I still get the same message:

How are you bringing your movie into Compressor? Have you used a file that was previously exported from FCP…or some other way of getting it to Compressor?  What is the format of that movie?

This is an error that I'm not familiar with and it's not listed in Editcodes. Also did a search of forums and a Web search and the only similar error discussion had no resolution.

Thought I'd throw my experience into this old post as well since this appears to be an underreported problem. Encoding an iTunes-friendly .m4v file with chapters for DVD. "It just works" is starting to feel like a very long time ago.Screen Shot 2015-09-09 at 10.33.49 AM.png
