Q: I did not renew my iCloud account, and it's gone, how do I renew

Ok, I have to admit, I got the emails, but never really read them..... so I don't have an iCloud account anymore..... help - how do I get it back?

    What emails? The iCloud service is free. There is nothing to renew.

     

    Please explain the problem you are having in more detail so we can help you more effectively.

    Are you talking about iCloud or MobileMe? MobileMe closed almost a year ago and you should have migrated to iCloud befire 1 August. If you did, then your emails, calendars and contacts (though not the contents of your iDisk) would have been transferred to an iCloud account - as said, this is free and continuing without your needing to renew it.

     

    If you did not migrate a MobileMe then its entire contents are now deleted and not recoverable by any means. You can sign into System Preferences (or settings)>iCloud (10.7.2 or iOS5/6 required) with your ex-MobileMe address to open a new iCloud account but obviously it won't contain any data previously held on MobileMe.
