So in point 14 are you supposed to delete the entire iTunes folder or just the music folder with in? The .itl and .xml files are both in the iTunes folder and this article says to save them. If I save them do I move them to my new hard drive where my music files are? Thanks!!

If you are moving your iTunes library to an external drive, I suggest you not follow that article.
Instead, simply copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder to the external.
Hold Option, launch iTunes, select Choose library... and select the iTunes folder you copied to the external.
This keeps everything in the same location inside the iTunes folder.
You can the delete /Music/iTUnes. folder ont eh interna; to free up save.
