My screen is totally upside down to what I want. I tried all the suggestions but it will not rotate. There is no icon on the slide switch to change, only a music icon. I cannot change lock rotation in the settings either. I need help.

You said "slide switch". I don't understand what you mean. I cannot imagine what area you're looking at.
Anyway, the article you attached has the answer. Check the "Enabling rotation lock if 'Use side switch' is set to mute" section. If you don't see the rotation lock icon on the left as the picture shows there, and instead you see the mute icon as shown in the section below, then go to Settings > General > Use Side Switch To and set that to "Mute". Then you'll see the lock rotation icon.

I did what was suggested but my screen still will not rotate. There is no icon on the slide switch, only music incon. Help!!!!
