May 5, 2013 3:53 PM in response to madebrtaby randers4,If the iCloud settings are grayed out, go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Accounts (near the bottom) and set this to Allow Changes.
To transfer your data and settings to a replacement, back it up to iCloud if you can, then restore the new one to this backup. If you can't back up to iCloud, back up to iTunes (by clicking Back Up Now on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings) then transfer your purchases to iTunes (File>Devices>Transfer Purchases), then retore the new one to this iTunes backup and sync it with iTunes to transfer the apps and other purchased media. See http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2109.
As for the screen, I don't know what a replacement would cost at a shop, but Apple will sell you an out-of warranty replacement. For U.S. pricing go here: http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_States&product=ipod and click on Repair Pricing.
