Q: my ipod "iCloud" in settings is greyed out - how do i turn it on? I'm trying to move info from dropped ipod to new ipod.

I dropped my son's ipod and the screen shattered.  it still works.  I bought a new one - what is the best way to transfer the info from the old one to the new one?  Can I get a new screen for the old one and where is the best place?  Thanks!

iPod touch, iOS 6.0.1

If the iCloud settings are grayed out, go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Accounts (near the bottom) and set this to Allow Changes.

To transfer your data and settings to a replacement, back it up to iCloud if you can, then restore the new one to this backup.  If you can't back up to iCloud, back up to iTunes (by clicking Back Up Now on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings) then transfer your purchases to iTunes (File>Devices>Transfer Purchases), then retore the new one to this iTunes backup and sync it with iTunes to transfer the apps and other purchased media.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2109.

As for the screen, I don't know what a replacement would cost at a shop, but Apple will sell you an out-of warranty replacement.  For U.S. pricing go here: http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_States&product=ipod and click on Repair Pricing.
