More info needed-what device are you trying to airplay to, same wifi network, has it ever worked before, etc.

I am using iPad ( 3rd generation ) and same network. This is the first time I using apple tv.

Try the following:

1. Reset the AirPlay devices

2. Reboot the iPad

3. Reboot the router

4. Update your router's firmware
