What is to be done if your device does'nt get detected by your computer? Itunes doesnt show my device.

My device is not being detected by my computer. Itunes doenot detect my device. What should I do about it?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.3

We have articles that can help you troubleshoot the device not appearing in iTunes, but it depends what operating system you're using - OS X or Windows. Below are both articles:

To begin troubleshooting this issue on your iOS device, first follow the steps in the appropriate troubleshooting assistant below:
