Monitor is black and won't turn on.

I have a MacBook Pro and last night it was not working properly. I may have had too much open and the circle was turning endlessly, so I shut it off. Now I can't get it to go on and the monitor part is black. It briefly turns off when I push the power button but then it turns off. I tried to go into Safe Mode but it isn't doing anything.

My Mac was bought in Dec. 2012, so it's not old. Is it under warranty?

The warranty on Apple computers is one year, so assuming you purchased yours new, yes, it is under warranty.

Contact Apple using www.apple.com/support/contact if you are in a country that supports it or call the appropriate phone number on this page. Alternatively carry the MacBook Pro in to an Apple retail store or service provider.

Best of luck.
