Apple ID Login Not Working for Apple TV

It looks like several folks are having this problem. You may want to address this before the legions of duplicate threads take over your support community.


Problem:

Cannot login to iTunes Store via Apple TV.


Device(s) Affected:

Only Apple TV. Able to login to the iTunes Store and view my account and any purchases on iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro.


Replicated:

Reset password via http://iforgot.apple.com. Reset to new password on all devices, yet the Apple TV remains unable to login stating that either my Apple ID doesn't exist or the password is wrong.


I am now going to attempt to "Reset All Settings" on the Apple TV


Hope you guys are aware of this.

I had a problem with an Apple TV stucking at date and time and also with the Apple ID logging not working. I tried different things what I read from the forums and nothing seemed to work.


What solved the problem was setting a new Apple ID from the Apple's website and after that shutting down my wlan and setting an access point from my iPad and connecting the Apple TV to the access point. After this ATV worked fine. I turned on the wlan and connected my computer and ATV to that and it worked fine again.
