May 7, 2013 6:42 AM in response to lllaassby TechnoLover,I was an apple lover.
And now, im verry annoyed!
i went out today and spent the last of my money on a god **** ipod 3gen! to find out that you cannot update the software so it is basically useless, as it will not let me down load ANYTHING. I connected it to my laptop but it would not let me update, I dont no what to do i have two ipods on my hands and neither of them are worth it!I was a loyal apple customer, but i cannot believe apple would update the software so the first ever apple ipod buyers cannot buy anything, the first people who brought these products have now a useless ipod.
and there so expensive, I cant afford a new one, and Im sick to death of this.
next time I'm not sticking with apple. -

May 7, 2013 7:01 AM in response to TechnoLoverby lllaass,If the "3G" iPod is stuck an iOS 4.2.1 then you really have a 2G. A 3G can go to 5.1.1
iPod touch (3rd generation)

The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.
