May 6, 2013 12:48 PM in response to Bryan Debnamby keg55,Adding RAM in a Mac Mini will not void the warranty. You can view the Mac Mini Product Information Guide under the section Do Not Make Repairs Yourself. "Your Mac mini doesn't have any user-serviceable parts, other than memory".
Apple even shows you how. A couple of 3rd party vendors are MacSales.com and Crucial.com for reliable Mac memory.

Oct 24, 2013 8:10 AM in response to Bryan Debnamby GHN3,Greetings. A question about upgrading memory on the Mac Mini. I have 3+ year old model A1283. It has100 GB hard drive (partitioned "boot camp" between a PC/Microsoft side and an Apple O/S side) and 868 MB RAM. Is it possible to increase hard drive and RAM capacity?
Thanks,
GHN3

According to Apple the maximum RAM capacity of your Mac mini is 4GB but with more recent DIMMs the actual maximum is 8GB. As far as the HD goes you could potentially go up to 1.5TB internally or up to 4TB in an external HD. Other World Computing has an entire section on upgrades for the mini.
