Changing a Calendar Entry for All Future Events

To all,

can anyone tell me, if i set up repeating Calendar entries, and then edit certain fields in certain repeating entries but not all, so i am editing some one by one as my office hours change here and there from the norm, when i go back and edit another entry, the reminder field, and it asks me then 'To Apply to All Future Entries' [or similar message, i cant remember the exact text, if i agree, will this:

only change the reminder field in all repeating entries?

or

only change the reminder field in all un edited repeating entries?

or

change the reminder field in all repeating entries but change the fields i have edited back to the same field in this particular entry i am now being asked to push through all future entries?

...if that makes sense?
