Retrieve items I have purchased from iTunes Store and downloaded from cd and dvd back to my computer

How do I retrieve all my iPod items I have purchased from iTunes and downloaded from cd and dvd back to my my computer? When I into my iTunes account to see what I have purchased, it's all there but not in my iTunes library or my iTunes library on my computer. I did not delete my library at all. Basically, how can I transfer the items I have on my iPod on to my iTunes Library on my computer? Someone please help me!!!

You cannot transfer song files from iPod to computer using iTunes (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "iPod transfer," you should get some links.

Once the song files are in your computer, you can add them to your iTunes library.
