You may want to consider taking a look at an article that I found. It has several things that you can check to see about getting e-mail flowing to your device again.

There is a section that's specific to iOS devices, "Issues sending or receiving mail on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch"
You may also consider logging into your account at iCloud.com to verify that there is new mail there.
