Turn WiFi off in the Settings and then turn it on again.
Forget the network in Settings>WiFi>Tap the blue arrow next to your network name>Forget this network. Then try to join the network again.
Reset network settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Then try to join again
Reboot your hub - even though other devices will connect, it might do the trick
No joy. iPhone connects OK, so hub is working ok. iPad message is, 'Unable to join the network'. - Dismiss.
Doesn't matter what connects and doesn't connect. Sometimes rebooting your router/modem/hub can work wonders.
