The advice offered from other users, regarding Command-Click will not remove the FitBit app. It will remove icons/indicators like WiFi and Sound, but the FitBit app is not an indicator, but an app loaded at start-up. However, it is removes easily.

1. System Preferences > Users & Groups

2. Click 'Login Items'

3. Click and highlight 'Fitbit'

4. Click the minus icon icon, on the right half of the screen. This is below the list of apps that are 'automatically loaded when you log in'.

The app will not disappear immediately, but if you restart or log-out and log back in, the Fitbit app will no longer load.

Hope that helps.

The easiest way is to see if the Fitbit connect app is still on your mac.

If so, then...

- open the app.

- Select the app's preferences (in the menu bar)

- Unselect the box labeled "Startup & Display, Show menu bar icon".

The little icon should disappear from your screen once you unselect the box.

I gave the product to my son about 6 months ago, and only now have gotten around to removing the program from my menu bar.

Once you do this, you can toss the Fitbit connect app from your app folder.

Good luck!
