How do I get my Icloud icon at the top of my Mac Back?

I'm not aware of any icloud icon that should be at the top of your screen, are you sure you aren't referring to something else.
Where are you referring to? The top of what?
The iCloud icon can be seen in the System Preferences' Internet and Wireless section and in the Mail/Accounts pane for an iCloud email account. Those are the only two places the iCloud icon is displayed on a Mac.
Can you describe where you expect to see the icon and aren't?
