HD directory rebuilt - good to go???

Good evening.

My HD harddrive recently stopped being mounted.

The directory was rebuilt by my local Apple shop.

Should I just be able to reinstall in my G4 iBook and fire the white lady up?

iBook white 12" G4 800 mHz-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Did you remove that drive from the computer? If yes then I would say yes if the Mac OS was still on the hard drive.

Yes, it was removed before the directory was rebuilt.

How does a directory go bad?
