That definitely sounds frustrating. Lets see if we can get this figured out. First, I'd like you to run through the steps in this article:

If the above steps do not resolve your issue, I'd like you to completely remove iTunes and all related components. Be sure to follow the uninstall process as outlined (6 programs to uninstall, in a specific order):

In the above article, skip the last step of downloading iTunes from the included link. Instead, I would like you to download and install iTunes from this link:
iTunes 10.6.3 for Windows (64 bit)
