Safari not functioning correctly.

Since I updated to the latest Java (1.7.0_21) some webpages (like Facebook) stopped working correctly on Safari (6.0.4). I have tried to toggle some options in Preferences, but there's no change in the behavior.

When I open certain webpages, they DO load, but as soon as I stay for a bit (like a minute or two), Safari quits. In toher, the page does not load, nor the webpage wants to scroll if it's loaded. I rather use Chrome when visiting YouTube or Facebook, since it does not fail at doing so. What might be the problem?

Disable the plugin and relaunch Safari, see > How to disable the Java web plug-in in Safari
