I would like to install snow leopard onto an external hard drive

I would like to install snow leopard onto an external hard drive using my macbook late 2010 (the last of the white macbooks, 10.7.5)... HELP 🙂

Originally shipped with 10.6.3, which means can use the Snow retail DVD. What do you want to know?
