Q: So, if the only other vendor is Microsoft and my system is up-to-date, which vendor is causing the problem?  Perhaps Apple needs to fix Bonjour?

Windows 7 64 bit - the only solution I can find is to turn off sync over WiFi on mt wife's iPhone 5. 

All winsock providers are Microsoft and all are up-to-date.
It's OK if Apple can't get this to work on Windows, I understand.

What's not OK is causing system instability on an ongoing basis and issuing tech notes that indicate something other than the fundamental problem:

ATH.exe goes hi CPU and stays there until killed or rebooted.
