My Computer is not completely charging and having a hard time magnetically connecting

I am having a hard time charging my Mac lately, seems the magnetic cord is not making a connection when i connect it it stays orange and after some wiggling around it might connect and light up green. It was on all night last night (I made sure it was green) and this morning it was not fully charged.

Also, I thought the unit got hotter than usual after working on it last night.

Should I replace the battery, should I replace the cord?

Morning vicki1957,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Use of your Mac notebooks computer battery accrues in the form of "charge cycles." You may use your battery after it reaches its maximum cycle count, but you may notice a reduction in your battery life.

Hope this helps,
