Any hope to upgrade iMac Tiger 10.4.11 to Leopard or Snow Leopard?

I have this old hand-me-down iMac.

Here are the specs:

Mac OS X version 10.4.11

2GHz Intel Core Duo

1.5GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Mac HD Starup Disk.

Is there any way to upgrade this? Maybe a step-by-step guide? I'm a Mac newbie so, explain like I'm five, if you please? 🙂 Someone just gave this computer to me and it's such a waste to not use it to its full capacity, if it could.
