my textedit is different

My textedit looks different then the on in the pictures on the "Mac Basics: TextEdit"
TextEdit has been around since the very first release of Mac OS X, and the overall appearance of Mac OS X has changed quite a bit.
Do you have a specific question about TextEdit? What version of Mac OS X do you have?
