Calendars "find" problem

I have OS 10.8.3 on a 21.5 inch iMac with 3.06GHz Intel Core i3. Recently, when I try to use the "find" feature in Calendars on the computer, whether from the menu bar or from the spotlight-like window, it shows there is nothing that matches even though I am looking at what it should find. The find feature works on my iPhone. Any ideas what is going on and what to do?

Thanks

Hello Randy,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If spotlight is not searching properly, you will have to re-index the hard drive. The following article will walk you through that process. I also provided the steps below.

Spotlight: How to re-index folders or volumes

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2409

  1. From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. Click Spotlight.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Drag a folder or an entire volume (your hard drive) to the list.
  5. If prompted for confirmation, click OK.
  6. Remove the item or volume you just added to the list by clicking it and then clicking the minus ("-") button.
  7. Close Spotlight preferences.
