Go to the App Store, Login with your Apple ID and then PURCHASE Mountain Lion. It is not an update, it is a new OSX and should be at 10.8.3 It will cost you $19.95 and then you download it (approx 4.5GB) and install it. Make sure your computer meets the required specifications, and, as always, make sure you have a backup of your current system....just in case.

Hello, I recently tried downloading a new app that requires OS X 10.8. My operating system is currently 10.7.5 and my computer says there are no updates available. I have checked the support site and cannot find 10.8 only 10.8.2, please help
