Remote between two PCs

I'm trying to use the Remote App to control a PC from another PC (both have iTunes installed and updated). I have them sharing on a home network. However, I cannot open remote (double clicking does nothing; in iTunes under the Apps Section is where I am).

Is this even possible? My stereo system, hooked up to one of my labtops, is in one room. The other room is where my desk and other lab top is, and I'm looking to be able to control the stereo from other rooms through the lab tops. They are both PCs.

I've installed the App on both computers, but I can't seem to double click on it and have it do anything. Am I going about this the right way?
