Q: I have a Macbook Pro that was taken into apple before Dec 7th 2012 and was told it was out of warranty.

I have a MacBook Pro and the video went out. I took it to an Apple Dealer before Dec 7th 2012 and was told it was the NVIDIA and that it was out of warranty.

I just read were it WAS under warranty at the time.

Is it possible to get this repaired by Apple with the documentation from the dealer showing that it was the NViDA and that it was out of warranty??

    Hi D,

Nothing we say here matters. The only answer is to discuss it with Apple, someone higher up, not someone who answers the phone. Paperwork, printouts of emails, politeness, firmness.

Thanks, I don't live in the dealers state anymore but it may be worth a trip for a face to face with the guy who said it was out of warranty, Otherwise I will start making calls.

The extended program is 4 years from the date you purchased your MBP. Up to the 7th of Dec.

Having said that, I managed to get repair for my faulty MBP last month speaking to a senior customer adviser.

    Good luck
