my ipod shuffle 4th gen. is nt been detected by my pc... but getting charged.....

The latest iTunes may hide the sidebar. To show the sidebar, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
With the sidebar visible, does the shuffle appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES?
If it does not, did this shuffle work with this computer before, and does not now for some reason? Or is this the first time you are trying to use this shuffle with this computer?
