Update problem with HT5716: About Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 15

I tried to load this update, along with Safari 5.1.9 and iTunes 11.0.2. It down loads, and tells me to restart. When it restarts, it tries to validate the files but says there is something wrong with them and aborts. I tried 3 times, same results. Am I missing something? Or do I have a problem with my current install?

P.S.S I have an iMac 7,1 running OSX 10.6.8
