Search for and download a small software program called "TinyUmbrellas" run it, plug your phone in and then on the left under devices select your device and it should show you the imei at the very bottom. This software also has a "exit recovery" and "fix recovery" option just click the appropriate button and see what happens.

Be advise this may get edited/deleted by the moderators cause it could be seen as being related to jailbreaking which is taboo around here, if you need help use google it'll help you out. If they dont pull it I'll do my best to help you out.

I'm looking for this same answer. I read the article and nowhere in this article does it explain how to find this information on a CDMA only iPhone 4. It actually excludes the CDMA iPhone 4 from the example given on how to locate this information.

CDMA iPhone 4 does not have a SIM tray, and as cas78229 stated, the phone is stuck in recovery mode when turning on, so there is no way to get the info from iTunes which are what the other options are.

Your response is rather rude and utterly unhelpful to those of us with CDMA iPhone 4's, without the original box and with no means to connect to iTunes for this info.

Actually, mine is not even in recovery mode, it is just on the initial activation screen but will not activate via iTunes or WiFi. Can you please tell me where the article provides me with the info needed to find the MEID so the carrier can plug it in manually?

EDIT: Stumbled upon it for anyone else looking for this but sadly this won't help if stuck in the recovery mode. After rebooting the phone and before using the slider to unlock, there is a little info icon similar to this ----> ℹ. If you select this, the MEID will be shown.

Also, you can connect to iTunes on a Windows PC (not sure on a Macintosh) and select Help and then run the sync or connectivity test. This will generate a report... in this report is the MEID.
